A Day In The Life
We cater to each child’s needs and are flexible with sleep times, meals, bottles and are connected with their cues.
7:00 – 8:45 | Morning Welcome & Multi-Age Exploration
Children are welcomed into warm, engaging spaces — indoors or outdoors depending on the weather. They can choose from a variety of invitations to play: sandpit creations, painting, building, reading, or exploring natural materials. This time fosters independence, choice, and social connections across age groups.
8:45 – 9:30 | Morning Tea
We gather to share a healthy morning tea of seasonal fruit and nourishing snacks. Mealtimes are calm and unhurried, with educators supporting children to build independence and positive eating habits.
9:30 – 11:00 | Learning Through Play
Children engage in small group and individual experiences, guided by their interests and our ongoing learning projects. Activities might include art, sensory exploration, storytelling, problem-solving games, or construction. Educators observe, listen, and extend learning through thoughtful questions and gentle guidance.
11:00 – 12:00 | Outdoor Exploration
Our outdoor environments are designed for adventure, discovery, and connection with nature. Children might tend to the garden, climb, balance, dig, create with loose parts, or simply enjoy the fresh air and open space.
12:00 – 2:30 | Lunch & Rest Time
A nutritious lunch is shared together, followed by rest or quiet play. Younger children sleep in their own cot, while older children engage in calming activities if they do not require a nap.
2:30 – 4:00 | Afternoon Learning & Small Group Time
Children return to a variety of rich learning opportunities — perhaps revisiting a morning project, exploring new provocations, or participating in music and movement experiences.
4:00 – 5:00 | Outdoor Play & Pack Away
Late afternoon is a time to move, play, and collaborate outdoors. We finish by packing away together, learning responsibility and care for our shared spaces.
5:00 – 6:00 | Late Snack & Farewell
We enjoy a light late snack, followed by relaxed play and conversations as families arrive. Educators share highlights from the day and update families on their child’s learning journey.
