At Bursaria Early Learning Centre, we understand the profound importance of a child’s first year. In Nursery 1 our educators create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where infants are encouraged to explore and build secure, trusting relationships with caring adults. Each child’s interests and individual goals guide our program planning, ensuring meaningful and responsive experiences.

Well-being
Our educators greet each infant with warmth and positivity, fostering strong attachments that support a sense of security and belonging. By responding promptly and consistently to each child’s needs, we help infants develop trust and confidence in their surroundings and the adults who care for them.
Physical Development
We provide opportunities for infants to explore natural environments and spacious areas that support their developing motor skills. Through thoughtfully planned experiences, babies are encouraged to strengthen their bodies and discover movement with curiosity and joy.
Cognitive Development
Our educators carefully observe each infant’s interests to design experiences that help them make sense of the world. Sensorial play invites babies to explore different textures, materials, and objects, engaging their senses and sparking early learning.
Individual Care
- Safe Sleeping
We follow Red Nose Australia’s safe sleeping guidelines to provide an environment that promotes restful, safe sleep. Understanding that babies between 9 and 12 months can stay awake for a maximum of about 2.5 hours before becoming tired, we prioritise quality rest to support their wellbeing. Each child has a dedicated cot and personalised sleep chart detailing their routines, comfort items, and preferences to ensure consistency and comfort. - Tummy Time
We promote tummy time as an essential part of physical development, helping babies strengthen core muscles and develop balance in a gentle, supportive way. - Our OWNA App
Using the OWNA app, we keep detailed records of each child’s eating, sleeping, nappy changes, and toileting attempts. This transparent communication helps families feel connected and informed throughout the day.
