Our April Recap

April was a vibrant and engaging month at Bursaria, filled with fun experiences, creative learning opportunities, and the celebration of our wonderful Open Day event. Across both the Waratah and Billy Buttons rooms, educators thoughtfully planned a variety of enriching activities that encouraged creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning.

 

To celebrate Easter, the children participated in a range of themed art experiences, including creating colourful carrot paintings and decorating Easter eggs. These activities provided opportunities for self-expression while also supporting the development of fine motor skills and creativity.

 

The children also enjoyed spending time with Educator Eriny engaging in baking experiences, where they worked together to make delicious Easter cookies for our Easter afternoon tea celebration. Our afternoon tea was enjoyed by children, families and educators, featuring a selection of seasonal fruits, refreshing drinks, and warm finger foods in a welcoming atmosphere.

 

Throughout the month, we were delighted to welcome several new families into both the Waratah and Billy Buttons rooms. It has been wonderful to see the children settling into the centre environment so confidently, building new friendships, and becoming familiar with daily routines and experiences.

 

A highlight of the month was our beautiful Open Day, held on the 18th of April. The event was a fantastic success and provided a wonderful opportunity for families and the wider community to experience all that Bursaria has to offer. Children and families enjoyed a range of exciting activities, including a jumping castle, an interactive reptile experience, face painting, and a fun-filled sports program. Guests were also invited to enjoy a selection of delicious food and light refreshments throughout the day.

 

Our Open Day created a warm and welcoming environment for potential new families to tour the centre, meet our dedicated educators, and engage in meaningful interactions with the children currently attending Bursaria. We thank all families and community members who attended and helped make the day such a memorable occasion.

We look forward to another exciting month at Bursaria, we have so much planned for our children and families. We will have our Mother’s Day afternoon tea, the firemen are coming to the centre with their fire truck, and we will also begin our weekly language and dance classes.
